Day Trip
Marangu gate to Mandara hut (2720masl)
Kilimanjaro Marangu trekking excursion takes account of working up to the first camp - Mandara hut (2720m) and back throughthe same track on the same day. Drive ranges almost44.5km from Moshi town of which will take you1 hour to time. As you stopoverMarangu gate you will have to do some registration formalities so as toget a valid permit to start trekking adventure. Marangu gate ranges 1879m above sea level besides the distance to Mandara hut extends to7.5km (15 km to and flow), of which will take you 3 to 4 hours for every path.
Raining Forest

As you will transit from the Marangu gate to Mandara hut you will pass over the superb rain forest which is a dense forest, pure evergreen with diversity of species of plants. When lucky you might see couple of different primates like Blue Monkeys, black and white Colobus Monkeys.
Maundi Crater
It will take you20minutes to walk from Mandara towards Maundi Crater. Here you will experience a wonderful view point of Kibo and Mawenzi while exposing towards view of the Kenyan landscape, Lake Chala and Jipe. Pressure wasn’t strong enough to force magma to move out of which instead of rise up it resulted to the formation of the crater.
NB: Porterswon’t be needed for a day trip, only guides will accompany. Park formalities obligations might be at most two clients for each guide. The company will offer lunch and Water during a trip.

Itinerary

Soon after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha at about8.40Am,and drives you to wards Marangu gate where you will stopover for registration formalities before the begin Climbing towards Mandara hut for 5hours where you will explore the magical Roof of Africa and stopover for little rest and enjoy some lunch before back to Marangu gate and drive back to Mosh town around 4.30Pm in the evening.
